Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and LiveSheet. They are written to be read rather than survived, and the section that matters most to a working musician is the one about the stage.
1 · Who you are agreeing with
LiveSheet is made and operated by Amit Jurgenson, an individual developer based in Israel ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using LiveSheet, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.
2 · What LiveSheet is
LiveSheet is a chord-chart reader with an engine that listens through your device's microphone and moves the chart as you play. At present it is free, single-user, and still being actively developed.
On stage, it is an assistant and not an autopilot. LiveTrack follows audio in a real room, which is a hard problem with no perfect answer: a loud room, an unusual arrangement, a tempo nobody agreed on, or a microphone pointed the wrong way can all make it lose its place. You remain responsible for your own performance. Do not use LiveSheet in a situation where being on the wrong bar would be unacceptable and you have no way to recover. Know the song, keep a hand near the screen, and treat the following as help rather than as a guarantee.
3 · Your account
You sign in with Google. One account is one person — do not share credentials. Keep your Google account secure, since whoever can sign into it can reach your charts. You must be at least 16 to have an account.
4 · Your content, and the rights to it
Your charts are yours. Everything you create in LiveSheet — charts, setlists, shows, annotations — remains your property. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service: to store your content, and to transmit and display it back to you and to devices you are signed in on. We claim no ownership, we do not use your content to train anything, and we do not show it to anyone else.
Copyright in the songs is your responsibility. A chord chart may describe a song that somebody else wrote. You are responsible for having the right to reproduce, store and use any material you put into LiveSheet, including lyrics and any file you import. Do not upload material you have no right to use, and do not use LiveSheet to distribute copyrighted material to other people. If a rights holder contacts us with a valid complaint about specific content, we will act on it.
5 · Acceptable use
Do not use LiveSheet to break the law, to store or distribute unlawful material, to attack or overload the service, to probe or bypass its security, to access another person's account or data, or to resell access to it. Automated scraping or bulk extraction is not permitted.
6 · Availability, changes and your data
LiveSheet is provided as it is, with no promise of uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and features may be removed. If the service is ever going to shut down, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your charts before it does. You can ask for a copy of your data at any time at hello@livesheet.music.
These terms may change. When they do, the date at the top changes; material changes will be announced in the app rather than left for you to discover.
7 · No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiveSheet is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the chart-following engine will be accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
8 · Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost bookings, or any loss arising from a performance that went badly. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, while LiveSheet is free, is zero.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights your local law gives you that cannot be waived by agreement.
9 · Ending it
You may stop using LiveSheet at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or its other users at risk — where it is reasonable to do so, we will say why first.
10 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction — except where the law of your own country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings there, which these terms do not take away.
